2026 NEPA PULSE Annual Meeting & Everyday Heart Awards
We are very excited to invite the community to our first Annual Meeting & Awards! Come out and celebrate the last year of community happenings and the people and organizations that make things happen!

This year we will be giving out nine awards, listed below, with nominations open from April 7th to April 21st. Click here to nominate!
Educator of the Year - recognizing an outstanding educator teaching in Northeast Pennsylvania who has made a significant positive impact on their students, school, and community in the last 12 months.
Collaboration of the Year - recognizing an outstanding partnership of two or more organizations in Northeast Pennsylvania that has made a significant positive impact on their community in the last 12 months.
Community Impact Award - recognizing an individual, group, or organization that has made a significant impact on a community in Northeast Pennsylvania. The Community Impact Award aims to honor those who do the quiet, often under-acknowledged, work in their local communities. Nominees for this award exhibit high collaborative spirit, are extremely engaged in their community, and demonstrate an outstanding commitment to improving their communities through volunteerism, philanthropy, and innovation.
Young Changemaker Award - recognizing an individual under 20 years old who is doing great community service work and making positive change in Northeast Pennsylvania, who is deeply engaged in their community.
Historic Preservation Award - recognizing a project focused on preserving a historically significant site or facility in Northeast Pennsylvania, or preserving records and materials related to the history of Northeast Pennsylvania.
Community Beautification Award - recognizing an outstanding community beautification project in Northeast Pennsylvania that has been completed within the last 12 months.

Organizational Governance and Best Practices Webinar
Nonprofit leaders across Northeast PA are invited to join NEPA PULSE Founder and Executive Director Basil E. Bacorn for a webinar on Organizational Governance and Best Practices where we will review and discuss what it means to have good governance, and how good governance and following best practices help build community trust. Topics will include:

Internal Controls
Best Practices - Structures, Roles, and Standards for Excellence

We are partnering with Scales&tails Petstore in Towanda to host an End of Summer Community Yard Sale! Quarterly NEPA Changemakers Roundtable
Hosted quarterly by NEPA PULSE, this roundtable creates a trusted environment where changemakers across sectors can exchange ideas, share challenges, and explore opportunities to strengthen our communities.
Each session will focus on timely topics affecting the region—from funding challenges and partnership opportunities to workforce needs and policy updates—while centering the lived experiences and leadership of those driving impact on the ground.
Whether you're a seasoned executive, emerging leader, or someone shaping change in your corner of the region, you’re welcome at the table.
