NEPA PULSE Youth Action Council Now Accepting Applications
TOWANDA, PA - As the school year winds down, NEPA PULSE is launching exciting new opportunities for students across Northeast Pennsylvania. The organization’s flagship youth engagement program, the NEPA PULSE Youth Action Council, has officially started accepting applications from high school students preparing to enter grades 10, 11, and 12.
Participants will gain hands-on experience and mentorship from artists, entrepreneurs, and community leaders—building skills and networks that last well beyond high school. The Youth Action Council empowers students to shape their communities while preparing for what comes next. This is a chance for young people to become active contributors to their communities while developing skills that will benefit them for years to come.
Whether you're already a changemaker or just starting to explore your interests, the Youth Action Council welcomes students who are curious, collaborative, and ready to make a difference in their communities. Council members will meet regularly throughout the school year and early summer to plan projects, explore big ideas, and work together on real-world challenges—with flexible scheduling to support students' other commitments.
Participants will receive leadership training, mentorship from local experts, and the chance to build strong relationships with peers and professionals alike. From hosting youth-led forums to co-creating solutions with community leaders, students will gain hands-on experience that strengthens their resumes—and their confidence. Council members may also be eligible for project stipends, recommendation letters, and other exclusive opportunities to support their goals after graduation.
Applications are due by September 1, 2025. Don’t wait — learn more and apply today at nepapulse.org/youth-engagement.
